Problem with the resolution..

Hey.

Since I reinstalled windows vista on my laptop, I have only had two resolutionoptions, 800*600 and 1024*768. That is too low for me, and before i reinstalled, I could choose many different options.



Any ideas?
 
You need to install the graphics driver for the video card. What exact model of laptop is it and is it vista 32 bit or 64 bit?

That is the message I get when i try to open both links?
 
No it doesn't. Can you give me the service tag number for your laptop. Maybe I can pindown exactly which driver you have.

Go into device manager and look under display adapter and tell me what it says. Do you have any yellow question marks anywhere else in device manager that needs drivers?
 
Service tag number: 21HHZJ1

And no, there is no yellow marks at the device manager. At the display thing at device manager, it says Standard VGA.
