I have my usb wireless network stick in my server and had it set to share the internet between my 2 computers. i unplugged it and put it in the back usb port, server ask to install the drivers (dont know why) so i did and the routing stopped working. I put the wifi stick in the usb port that it was in and still didn't work.
I spent about 2 hours trying to get it to work with no luck. in the end i just though id format the hdd and reinstall server, installed all the drivers, told it to be a file server and a router, but it didn't work. i have done everything that i can think of and it's still not working. I have try looking on help pages on the net but nothing i do works. Anyone know how to fix this.
Please help i have no idea what is going on.
Thanks Alot

Is the wifi adapter the thing that other computers are connecting to to get their internet connection, or is the wifi adapter the thing that is getting the internet connection. (I assume you're running two network adapters here) If it's the thing that other computers are connecting to, did it have a static IP before you messed with it and does it not have one now. If the address changed it's possible none of the other computers know where it's at now.

yeah i have a wifi stick going to a router and a lan cable going though a network switch to my 2 computers. the ip for the wifi is auto and the ip for the lan is 192.168.0.1 for the server and 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3 for the 2 computer. the ip's are the same now as what the where. i think it got to be something to do with the routing and remote access console.

*UPDATE*
I have downloaded and install Ubuntu Linux Server on and its working like a dream. Once i worked out how to install stuff it was a piece of cake to set up. Starting to really like Ubuntu now, might install the desktop version on my main computer.
Thanks for the help AdmnPower
