in windows media player, the Ambieance visualization is REALLY slow, it has mabey 3 fps, on full screen it works fine, and if i right click an open a menu, while the menu is open it works, but if i close it, the visualzation goes back to being slow.....

try uninstalling it, after checking the settings. May have accidently changed the FPS or summit. I thought they were usually around the 10 fps anyhows

The default FPS settings on WMP is 12FPS running at 3 is too slow, try uninstalling and re-installing I will look when I get home and see if you can change the FPS rate.

Try this options

Go into Windows Media Player
Click tools then options.

Then goto the Plug-ins then go into visualization and select ambience.
Click properties. Then in the properties make the Full screen settings too "640x480 pixels"

The make the player settings. Offscreen Buffer Size to "256 by 192 pixels"

If they are at the defaults let me know
B.T.W The defaults are the pixels I just told you to set them too.

ok, only the "Ambience" and the "Battery" style visulations are slow, and thats in the almost full screen, as i said above, but now if i right click so the menu opens and the visulation runs at regular speed, then i click on the top, NOT anywhere on the visulation, it fixes it for ambience, this doesnt work for battery, i personaly think my computers being an ass, and doesnt like me, anyway im not going to worry about it cause i usaly use the wmp10 visulation anyways, thanks for the help, ( i might try reinstalling it when i have time )

i just saw your post hellbreather sry, they were at the default, so i turned them all the way down, it still is really slow, but i know its not my computers ability thats the problem cause i turned the settings to the max, and it ran perfect at full screen and if if did the fix i mentioned above.
