Hi guys!

I have a serious problem! I recently changed my gpu and psu and since that I have trouble opening my computer.... It always takes 20-30 minutes before it does because after windows loads, there is a huge bluescreen with only my mouse cursor and it is frozen there. Then way later my profil appears and I can login... But I dont understand why I need to wait that long!! It is annoying! :( when it is open everything goes 10/10 tho! Can someone help me plz :(

Also I just reformat and install pilotes and it still do that! My pc is:
EVGA g2 750, asus strix 970 , asus z97-A , 8 gb ram and I5-4690k!
 
Step by step, explain the process of how you installed the parts, don't leave anything out.
 
Well I received my video card last friday so I installed it and it was working, then I unplugged my old psu to wait my new one ! I received my new one the evga this week and installed it, I first started by the long plug on the motherboard the 24 pins I think is the name and by the big rear fan! Then I plugged the graphic card, at first its was not the good cable so it was not working the computer was just not starting, I figured out the probleme and ûplugged it with the good cable! Then I plugged my hard drive and ce player ! There was a little smoke and expoosion when i plugged the hard drive but it is still opening so i guess it was nothing huge...
 
Yeah it did the a sound and a little smoke for 1 second ! It does work but when I start it, I have a 20 min bluescreen which is a sign of something wrong lol sometime I see my mouse cursor and sometime I dont... So it works perfectly when opened, but it takes 20 minutes to open...
 
I hope the computer was turned off and unplugged during your first attempt at installing the hardware.

After you noticed smoke and heard a popping sound (explosion), then you should have disconnected the PC from the wall plug and removed the smoldering component before doing anything else. If it's the hard drive, as you say, then remove it and replace it with another one.

There is an eight pin power adapter for the 970, did you plug in the cable from the power supply to the 970?

Yes I did but as I said, it is bizzare that everything works... But only have a delay! Should I unplug the computer for now? Cause I dont have any other hard drive home and this one is still working! For the hardware yes I did turn off the pc, I was opening after each time Inwas trying something cause at first the computer was just unable to turn on due to the fact that I put the work cable from my pu to my gpu
 
If the smoke and popping noise came from the hard drive, then you should replace it as soon as possible. What you described sounds like a short circuit. After every thing that has happened, it is hard to determine, through a forum, why the computer is reacting the way it is. From the way you described how you assembled the PC it could be any number of things. If I had the computer in front of me I would know what the problem is.

I'm not sure which cable you are referring to.

The only way you can have a spark and a explosion plugging in the hard drive, is if the computer is plugged in and running.

Like said above what do you mean by this? (work cable from my pu to my gpu)

I have a really weird feeling about the whole story.
 
Sorry could not write my message or edit it again I was on the job but yeah the only piece that has been plugged in while running is my harddrive because it doesnt snap anymore, the attach is broken so the cable move sometime... So it was the only piece reinstalled while pc was running! And what I mean by the cable is that at first I did put 2 4 pins on my videos card, not the correct cable! But when I saw the cable that was needed I changed it and now it is working! Cause before the pc was just not turning on anyway
 
First of all, don't be attaching or removing power or data cables while PC is on. Thats a no no. I highly recommend you take this to someone who knows how to work on computers and get it going for you. Sorry, but it seems you do not know what you are doing. You could end up hurting yourself or cause a fire and ruin the whole system.
