Hi. I tried to format a computer yesterday but it didnt work. At first i changed the boot drive priority to cd and tried to format only using the windows xp cd but it didnt recognise it. So i used delpart (through a system disk) and restarted the computer, and it still didnt recognise the damn cd.
When it starts it says:
Verifying DMI Pool Data ............
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
Then all you can do from there is running the system disk. When i try to read the cd manually from msdos (by writing D
it says its a invalid drive specification. I know the windows xp cd works cuz i tried it on another computer. So what else could be the problem?? Is it the cd reader?
