Problems Installing Win7 OEM (Branded Dell)

I'm trying to install Win7 on my computer. I bought it from the following link:

http://www.softwaresupplygroup.com/microsoft-windows-7-professional-64-bit-oem-branded.html

It says on the product page:

This product will be branded HP, Dell, etc. but will do a FULL install on any brand computer.

Well, when i put the disc in, let it load and press "Install Windows" a popup appears saying:

A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now.

Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step

I'm just wondering if it's because this disc will NOT do a full install on any computer, as it's advertised on the product page, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

You usually want to stay away from sites that sell that type of install cd. What system are you putting it on? How is your system setup? Are you running raid or ahci?

All my system specs are in my signature. I was running RAID 0 but now I'm switching to RAID 1, but I couldn't get it to install on RAID 1, 0 or without RAID. I'm not sure what ahci is

You need the raid driver as windows 7 don't have raid drivers. It can't detect the raid array thats why it was asking you for drivers.

I loaded the drivers from my flash drive, but still nothing. I checked the disc with a program called CD Check and it found 39 errors. It said something about redundancy errors or something. Have you heard of such situations where a disc has errors?

You mean my DVD drive is bad? I actually ran the CD Check on my laptop and not the system I'm installing Win7 on. I also just ran CD check on my vista disc and it contained 0 errors.

I'm sorry, I thought you said hard drive check. It would seem the cd may be bad. Is it scratched?

hm, yes actually it does look a little rough. Certainly not brand new looking. However, I've seen much worse and never had a problem. I think I'll contact them Monday and get a refund!

Yeah, if the disk is scratched, definately send it back for refund. And buy from a reputable company that sells a genuine microsoft windows operating sytem install cd.
