Problems opening pdf from web pages

When I click on a pdf link in a web page or email attachment, I get a dialog box that orders me to save it (where I can then open it). I'd like to open it directly.

I have Nitro pdf reader and just installed Adobe 10.0.1, and formerly used Foxit. The dialog box defaults to file-type of Foxit Document. Dell laptop, Win 7, Firefox.

How can I get files to open directly?
 
If you still have all 3 pdf programs installed then I would uninstall the ones that you won't be using and reinstall the one that you will be using to open pdf files. It seems things have gotten corrupted. You may have to uninstall all of them and then install the one you plan on using.
