Problems, please help.

Hey im having multiple problems at the moment and would appreciate any help.

1/ When i start my pc it always run chkdisk as though i havent shut down properly and has to preform checks. It hasnt done this before.

2/ When i first turn on my pc it will freeze on the windows welcome screen and i have to manual restart or it will go past the windows welcome screen, flash up my wallpapar but doesnt show any icons or menu bar so agen i have to manual restart until it finally reaches the main menu.

3/ I cant get a driver for a device and have tried searching the internet and it is still undetected. does anyone know what this is or where i can get the driver from:
SM Bus Controller is the device.

4/ When i try and run the game: Call of Duty: United Offensive i have problems. I can play the single player but when i try and open multiplayer it flashes up this error:

recursive error after: Can't use keys with a " key: tdm'"
value: '<null>'

How old is your computer? My granma's old packerd bell '95 started doing that, and it finally died.

For the chkdisk thing, you could have not shut it down properly, or you are having problems with your hard drive. When that comes up, it means that it thinks that some files are corrupt. If system files are corrupt, it could freeze during bootup bc it can't find the right files bc they are corrupted.

Or not, that's just my 2 cents

I believe you have a bunch of registry errors. I used Norton WinDoctor (Norton Systemworks) to fix my registry errors. I am not sure of any decent freeware programs, a little research might help.

 
I was told there is plus mines some how gone onto an option so it runs everytime i turn my pc on and its an inconvience.

just hit the space bar or whatever to stop it
