Problems with Avast

Okay, first off, does anyone know how I do a scan? Wherever I look I can't find the start scan button.

Next, I also have Spybot S&D. Should I remove that for my computer to be safer? I was reading PC World and it suggested having more than one anti-spyware program on your computer. What should I do? Thanks.
 
if you want to scan your entire hard drive then go into my computer and right click on your hard drive and scan with Avast.

if you want to scan certian files you can just right click on them and scan with avast.

as for Spybot S&D,Keep that on your system as its not another antivirus so they wount conflict with each other.
 
get a good firewall

I would also recommend you get a good firewall program installed if you dont already have one. Zonealarm works well and its free.

i dont even bother with a firewall anymore,I just have the windows one running and thats it.

there isnt any personal info on my pc anyway so theres nothing worth hacking into my pc for :D
