Problems with Comcast

My wife and I are trying to see if we can get Comcast cable internet at our apartment, but they do not recognize our address. We've had this problem with Dish Network and AT&T, but they simply worked with the system and figured out the combo of the address that needed to be put in to get it to come up. Comcast simply said that our address must be wrong and said we needed to figure it out and call them back. VERY RUDE!:mad:

I'm wanting to get Comcast for my Xbox live...any alternatives? We live RIGHT on the edge of town and I believe the cable lines have been ran this far. We have Dish Network for our Sat. so we don't know if we can get cable or not.
 
I have Comcast for my internet service and sometimes u have to talk to many people even ask for a manager..and insist on an appointment for a tech to come out..they will find u..and if theres any possible way they should be able to find a way to hook u up once ur there..Comcast is good..its just sometimes a pain getting thru to some of their reps...good luck!
 
^^^ ya but the speeds are unbeatable. ya just say i want to talk to your maniger. they have to let you. and if they say have the wrong address... tell them YOU LIVE THER AND HOW DAIR THEY :D
 
LOL...that was a great answer! tell them to mapquest u! :D Ive had a few problems with Comcast like my second computer isnt wireless...yet..so the tech comes out and hooks it to a netgear modem thats also hooked up to my main computer...and he made it so my tower was leaning and stuff..cracked me up...then he put my wireless card in for me..and it never went wireless..i dunno...lol...but Comcast is pretty quick id say...
 
i pay somethin like 50 a month and five dollars extra for my other computer..lol..which should be wireless but its not...yet.........:P
 
the original second computer i had hooked up to the modem...wouldnt go wireless after he left..no idea why...so my friend comes over and takes the card out..then puts it back in...and out then in again..tryin to get it to go wireless..after an hour of this im like..just hook it back to the modem and ill deal with it...so my daughter gets on it and starts playing a game and kablam! the whole screen goes black and says hard drive error..thus making the computer non working rite now..so i need to rebuild........and i have not one clue why this would happen......:confused:
 
so wat do u suggest? which harddrive should i purchase and should i just replace it? i know..totally new subject..........
 
i would start a new thread but i would say it is modt likely a ata 2.5 but for more info start a new thread.
