Does any1 own and have any problems with Dell Inspiron 1000 so far? I'm hoping it will last two years in a tropical setting.

Im sure there's always gonna be SOMEONE who's got a problem with ANYTHING 
Provided you dont bring the laptop into the pool then you should be fine (not if its not an AthlonXP-M or Centrino but instead a Pentium4-M then ... good luck ... ambient temps here are -10ºC and my notebook, Pentium4-M overheats like crap LOL
