Problems with Kaspersky 2009

I just installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 the other day to my desktop. Currently the windows security center states that KIS is reporting that Antivirus is turned off. I rebooted, updated, still the same. I cannot find anywhere on KIS to "turn virus protection on"

Is this a normal issue?
Any help would be great

Its most likely saying that windows security center doesn't recognize kapersky as your antivirus for some reason. As long as kapersky is loading on bootup then your protected. Just disable the alerts in Windows security center settings.
 
johnb35 have same prop with kas-2010 if you find out how let me knoe i get error msg "black list is corrupted" & data base is corrupted"
