Problems with Kaspersky Security Suite

Hey all,I have recently installed Kaspersky security suite and since installed I can`t run any of my games from disc (all originals).

I`ve added the programs to the trusted zone but to no joy.

I`ve uninstalled it and after that they all work fine again and its doing my head in to be honest because apart from the above problem I`m quite impressed with the software.

I`m no whizz when it comes to computers but I get by,are there any settings anyone knows about that could help fix my problem?

If not I guess I`ll just have to get rid.

Don't be in a panic. Antivirus programs and pc games love to collde. When you have one thing running the other won't. So what do you do? This is where the "msconfig" utility included with Windows plays a role.

To tempoararily disable any installed software like an antivirus utility you simply type msconfig at the Run prompt off of the Start menu and press enter. The screen that then appears will have two sections on the far right to look at.

The first is the obvious "startup group" for anything installed. You can either disable everything or selectively choose Kaspersky to uncheck any listings there. The next to last but in this case next section is the "services" section where you would want to put a check mark in the box for "hide all Microsoft services" so you don't hamper Windows by disabling a needed service!

Once you have all MS services hidden you now simply uncheck any Kaspersky items there to disable those. Upon exiting the msconfig you can choose either the immediate restart of the system or wait until later. Once you have restarted the system for the first time the changes will then be in effect.
