Hi all
I’m not sure if I’ve put this in the right section, but here’s the problem.
A few years ago I created some files on my Windows 98 PC and locked them using McAfee Fortress, creating a series of .SAF files out of them. I still know the password for these files and really need them. I got rid of my Win98 machine and now use WinXP. McAfee Fortress will not work under this operating system, so I can’t access these files.
I recently got hold of an old Win98 PC and installed Fortress on it but it still will not open the .SAF files, even though I KNOW I’m using the right password.
Given the issue does anyone have any words of wisdom they’d like to share with me as to how I might get these files back? As I said, they are my files and I do know the password – I’m tearing my hair out here. I can’t believe there’s no way to do this…
Thanks for any help
