Problems with networkcard...

i just re installed windows xp home edition on my old computer and the cat5 internet slot is no longer working.The computer's cat5 slot is a part of the motherboard so it should be working fine. It was working with ubunto before i re installed windows.. but now it just isn't.. Anyone have any ideas?
 
Yeah, you need to install the driver for it. Windows won't install all drivers needed for your motherboard hardware.
 
is that so, well then how do i find out what driver i would need.. is there some kind of number or something on the motherboard?
 
Look in device manager and look for how many devices need drivers installed yet. You will see items with yellow question marks next to them, they need drivers. What brand and model of computer do you have?
