problems with pop-ups that I cannot get rid of

Hi all. I am new to this forum so hello to all out there, I hope someone may be able to help me.
I have been getting very nasty pop-ups. They are constantly telling me my computer is at threat and I must download, and pay for, this software to rid it. That is as soon as i go onto the net. Then when I go to a specific website, another related site will pop-up automatically eg. if i go onto e-bay, another on-line auction or shopping site will pop-up. I am worried because whatever it is on my computer may be able to see all my passwords etc. Is this worry unfounded?
I am not a very proficient user and did not know what to do about it so just typed 'computer forum' into google and here I am! I followed the instructions on the sticky at the top of this forum and downloaded 'superantispyware' and spybot search and destroy', then did the panda and other on-line system check. It did find and fix a lot of problems apparently but I am still getting the same problems. I have also downloaded the hijack this and pasted the report below in the hope that one of you clever people may be able to point me in the right direction.
Cheers
Isley

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a Notepad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

Reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart anyway into normal Windows. A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Hi Grim,
Sorry it's taken me so long to post my reply. I ran out of ink as i was printing off your instructions so went out to buy some more (got ripped off at pc world, but only place open on sunday). Thanks for your advice. I followed the instructions in safe mode and have printed the results below. I don't know if that was the final fix you had but symptoms are persisting, as soon as I hit explorer I was told my pc was infected and to click OK to install anti-virus software even I know I don't need. Any further ideas??
