Problems with Starcraft

So, I installed Starcraft on my dad's computer and I get this:

It's like the whole game area is moved to the right, and part of the top is also cut-off so you can't clearly see your resources/population. It's a widescreen resolution @ 1440 x 900 and I doubt that's the problem cause I'm using the same resolution on my computer and it works just fine.

Also, the whole game does that, menus and the main screen. Not just the actual gameplay.

BTW, his video card is a Radeon X1650.

Any ideas? Thanks.
 
if it is running of the VGA cable, then you should try to hit the "Auto" button on the monitor, that usually fixed older games like that. then if thats not it you can hit the "menu" button and "move" the screen to fit correctly. GL.
 
Thanks. I'll try to use the Auto button when he's playing but I just don't want to change the settings everytime I go back to Windows (because Windows is just fine, only Starcraft does it)
 
well hitting the Auto button is the easiest way. its one button. and 2 sec's later, your done. most of the time, i only had to do it once with in the game. then once i quit the game, windows was centered just fine. worth a shot.
