Problems with starting software, very slow

Hi!

I have a problem with my computer, the programs i usually run started going very slow and some wont even start. It is mainly XBMC and Itunes that I have a problem with. XBMC takes forever to launch but when i get into the program it runs fine. Itunes doesnt start at all sometimes and if it starts it is after a long time, but then as XBMC it runs fine when it starts. When i boot the computer up the screens turns off for 10-20 seconds and then continues to boot normally.

The hardware i got is:
CPU: AMD FX-8120
RAM: 8gb ddr 1600mhz
C drive: OCZ Vertex 3 60GB
D drive: OCZ Vertex 3 60GB
J drive: 500GB sata 2 mechanical hdd
GPU: 9600GT

some of the programs are installed on the C drive but most of them are installed on the D drive.

Does anyone have a clue of what is wrong? I have scanned the computer regulary for viruses and i havent installed anything before or after the problems began.

Would be very thankful for any help as this is my main workstation.

Edit: I have also googled the problem for weeks now and havent found anything that matches my problem.

Have you tried doing a system restore back to a day when everything was working fine?

No, i dont have any points to restore back to. I have also tried to reinstall the programs (XBMC, Itunes).
