Problems with widescreen...

Hi,
I recently bought a new widescreen latop and the widescreen looks plain iffy. All webpages appear with a blank to the right. I tried changing resolutions but it didn't help.
I'm thinking of exchanging it for a normal screen laptop.
What would you advise me?

I, personally, don't like widescreen's just because of that. They are obviously wider and have many more pixles because of that. Webpages and such are made to work at 3:2 not 16:9 aspect ratios...

I beleive you should have an option for screen resolutions such as 1024x768 or so... Or, you could just shink the browser window so it actually fits correctly rather than using it maximised.
 
Yeah, I agree with Other_One, the widescreens are awesome for movies, but not so practical for everyday/gaming use. As far as web pages are concerned, I would just widen the web pages and deal with the shortened height. Furthermore, the computer should have settings to fully utilize the different screen size like One said.
