Problems with wireless desktop

Alright, I've had this Logitech Wireless desktop MX3000 for about 2 years now, and I'm finding that the wireless connection is becoming really sketchy. It used to work across the room, but now it cuts out every now and then and becomes slow and unreliable. What could be the problem? Is it just wearing out?

Also, because of this problem I got pissed off and smacked the keyboard, causing the spacebar to come out. Now when I put it back in it gets stuck down whenever I push it in. I'm temporarily using the right click button as my spacebar, but I would like to know how to get my spacebar working again if possible

btw, it's time for a new keyboard at least... LOL

We don't have any new devices that could be conflicting with it. I have had this keyboard for a while, so I guess it's time for a new one. Anyone have the Logitech Wave? How is it?
