Probs with Internet Explorer

A few days ago, I decided to download IE8 and MSN toolbar. My system obviously has not enough memory - it kept crashing. Used System Restore to get back to where I was. It seems to have removed IE8 but not restored IE6. No IE at all now. Have tried to download IE6 and 7 but can't. Can anyone help pls?

System restore should not be used for uninstalling Internet Explorers.

If running XP, IE would be found in "Add/Remove". By uninstalling one version it automatically restores the previous version.

If running Vista, IE would be found as an update, again removing that update will allow the previous version.
Look to see if there is a chance of uninstalling properly, if not you may have to re-install to allow you to uninstall again.

In Add / Remove the name of it is there but the file is empty. Cant delete the file name. When I try to dowload Internet 7 via BT Yahoo Browser, it says browser needs to close as there is a problem. There is simply no IE function at all now. I can't even get into the Internet options on the toolbar or in control panel
