hey, im building my own computer and i was wondering is it worhth it to get a dual core processor http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1446873

or should i save some money with http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1366619

in general how much better is dual core proccessors than a single i guess?

and i am getting the geforce 7800 gtx and i was wondering wat a good motherboard would be, i dont want a piece of junk so nutin under like $135 i will mostly be using this computer for gaming and for game programming software,

if u got any other suggestions for other parts i might want to look into feel free to add em

well i assume that since your buying a 7800 then this is a gaming rig, in that case you do not really need the dual core. Most games are single core.

1. Most but not all.
2. X2 4200 is still a better choice by far ... and if its in the budget ... well worth considering :)
