hey guys and girls!
i just threw in a new HD a few days ago and ive noticed something kind of weird the process
wuauclt.exe
is apparantly a windows updating exe
the thing is ,is that it always runns and takes 100% of the cpu and i find this annoying especially when im trying to fold..

any advice?

well i tried to stop it but it came back, and i thought it would go away but it was going strong for over a day.. hmm
 
well it says thats its okay, and i turned off auto updates but its still there hmm
oh and the hard drive is just a week old and ive hardly used it so i doubt its spyware yet or anything
 
i dont know what to do, if i try to lower the importance of it , it says my acess is denied
and the updates from the micro website takes for ever
 
yea so far nothing at all its still a huge pain
also if i try to go to system proerties and change the update rules before the process has started its fsat, but now i have had the s.p window hanging for like 15 min

the killbox program the guy is using wornt download for me... does any one know another program that would do the same job?

well i recomed you donwload AVG and adaware 2007, install them. make sure they are up to date. then restart your computer in safe more by repeatedly pressing F8, then run avd, when thats done run ad aware, and hopefully your problem is fixed. thats what i normally do when i have a problem like yours.
