Processor Question

I have some questions regarding the intel E6850(3.0ghz, 4mb L2 cache, 1333fsb) and the Q6600(2.4ghz, 8mb L2 cache, 1066fsb). Which is the better performer between the two? Are there any benchmarks to show them in details?
Last but not least, is the E6850 a core 2 duo processor or a core 2 extreme processor?

the e6850 is a core 2 duo processor. the q6600 is a core 2 quad. I would get the q6600 because eventually tasks will be taking 4 cores instead of 2. Im got mine just to be future proof. Both of these processors can handle anything so its all up to personal preferance

I have an E6850 and look how far I have overclocked, that's not even all the way. The Q6600 is not yet utilized and when it will be, there will be better processors out that will put the Q6600 behind. I plan to upgrade to the QX6850, if and when the price drops on it. E6850 is just a Core 2 Duo, it does beat the Core 2 Extreme X6800 though.
