processor speed

is there a significant difference in performance between the T5500 core 2 duo 1.66 ghz and the T5600 core 2 duo 1.83 ghz processors? im planning on buying a notebook from dell soon since vista is out now. i'll be configuring it to 2 gb of ram...but i just dunno which processor to choose. thanks in advance

You won't notice much difference. If you have the extra cash go with the T5600 otherwise don't, its not a big deal.
 
I wouldn't go for it. If you care about slight differences, then sure, but usually they charge around $50 for small upgrades, and to me, it's a waste of money.
But there is a somewhat noticeable difference between the two.
 
The C2D 1.66 is a decent processor, it's not a high-end processor but it will perform very well.
