I have an old computer on which i am trying to rune a game. everything seems to be up to date except for my processor, which is 348MGz. I need it to be 450MGz. Is there any way that i can upgrade it sufficiently without buying anything or using the internet?

not to dissapoint, but one of those statements has to be false :)

We you COULD try overclocking, it probably jumper based, i.e. OLD. What is the motherboard?

what kind of games do u expect to play? i had a 340 mhz cpu and it had trouble runnig diablo 2. and i dont think u can upgrade ur cpu much unless u get a new mother board. u also for sure have integrated gfx. So that also shits down ur comp... u need a new comp :)

Hey don't jump to any conclusions here, if the goal is to play an old game which requires 450MHZ, a new system isn't necessarily needed. You know not everyone is interested in blasting through HL2 or any other modern game..

pirateer as mentioned, we would like to know what motherboard you have. :)

it would be a mega OCage. i suppose if you dig around for a mega cooler, you might be able too. it might be a bit to old for that though.

Just to tell you, I'm sort of a newb so i dont really know how to find out what kind of motherboard it is. I'm trying to run Age of Mythogy : Age of Titans. I havnt bought it yet so if it wont work whatever.

# cpu-z This is a free program that provides a good chunk of information about almost everything relevent to the system. The quickest route is to goto the About tab and select the Registers Dump (txt) option and then include this file as an attatchment in your post. This provides the basic information on the CPU, RAM and motherboard
