programm similar to Microsoft Word

is there a free typing programm similar to microsoft word.
i mostly need it for typing, printing...basicly projects and stuff.

OpenOffice.org it's the same of Microsoft Offic, but it's free...

I would also recommend OpenOffice, it's a great program, especially since it's free.

I would agree and say that OpenOffice is the way to go. Also if you happen to have a Google account you can use Google Docs & Spreadsheets, which is basically Microsoft Word/Excel online.
