Programming on Mac?

I have a "PC vs Mac" question related to programming.

The general concensus is that Macs are better in the design/artistic area, while PCs are better in the office/buisness (not to mention gaming) area.

I was wondering though, how does a Mac perform in a programming environment? For example, someone who spend a lot of time programming in Java or C++?

Also, are Macs good in a website design environment (not just the graphics, but the coding side of things like HTML, PHP, and Java/JavaScript?)?

I have never heard f a man being better in design....it would depen on the program, and alot of those programs are used on a PC too.. Anyways, it would completly depen on HOW you program and code, I code html and php, and a LITTLE bit of jasasciprt( by that i mean i use premade scipts and edit them lol) and i do it all in notepad, and i dont see how a mac or a PC could be better when codingin notepad.

i laugh in the face of all mac users, pc's can do just about everything just as good in the average consumer level or even a little above.

Right time for some actual advice :P lol
In the old "PC vs MAC" when it comes to programming, PC wins.
This is because of Microsoft Visual Studio, this really good enviroment for both C++ and J# (A.K.A Java).
MAC is probably all code based making it harder for people to actually code unless you've been doing it for ages.
Personally I say PC wins on the programming side and probably the web development side too
