programs disappearing

hi guys just need a bit of advice on this one.

someone gave me a copy of a certain media program, to burn dvds and cds, stuff like that......now for some reason when i instal it after a few days it goes

could this be because its a pirate copy?

or is it someting else?

now it seems that the program is still on my computer

the first time i installed the program, the whole thing went, this time, at this stage, only the icon on the desktop has gone. im pretty sure eventually the whole program will go.. but maybe not.

maybe theres soemthing with the settings of my desktop? where it says clean up desk top, is unclicked

Hello,

That is strange, and if you are not using a OEM copy or bought version they could have some anti-piracy or time trials in place. I suggest you acquire a legit updated copy or go with a different source. I personally use legit copy of nero, I love it. But there are free versions, such as DeepBurner, you can download the free version at:
