Programs similar to Microsoft Word?

can't open excel and word, i always get the click-2-run error message. i have wordpad but it sucks, lol

was wondering if there are some programs i can dl that are very much like word?
 
You can use google docs or libre office or open office. Or just reinstall the microsoft program on your computer. But unless you specifically bought the program then it was only a trial period involved and you would need to purchase the full version anyway.
 
I don't use it. I have microsoft office on my pc. Any documents created in Microsoft office should have no problems opening in open office.
 
john, what's the best free photo-editing program to dl? i remember someone telling me about gimp sometime back. is that a good? any others i should check out?
