Programs Starting When Windows Starts

How do I tell which programs are starting when Windows XP starts-up. I suspect there are some programs starting automatically that are slowing down my computer, but I don't know how to tell which ones they are.

Go to "start", click "run" and type "msconfig" and click on the "startup" tab to enable/disable/view items at startup. You may also want to try going to "startup" in all programs, I know there are sometimes a few things in there you can get rid of

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL, there is some info for the running processes in the task manager.

this will tell you all program that run on startup and will allow you to disable them, it also tells you where they are by the tab they are in.

Another easier option is to use Ccleaner
