I found an old HP D7580-60003 motherboard with a 500MHz Intel Celeron CPU installed. I thought about making it into a server, but then I decided not to make it into a server since I wouldn't have had much use of it. But I don't like leaving things around and not make use of them so does anybody have any ideas on how to use it for something?

I was thinking about making my own multimedia-player/digibox for the TV, I was thinking about using something like MythTV as software and adding a digital TV receiver. And of course a DVD-reader and a HDD.

I just need something to do over the summer.

My friend went to a amy surplus store and baught an ammo box (roughly the size of 2 gamecubes) and made a computer out of it.

If it were me, I'd store all my music files on it and make the computer accessible through my wireless network.

That ammo box looks very nice, Id get a TFT monitor and spray it matching green along with the keyboard.
