No. Not even close, I would think (I assume it's 2-way crossfire we're talking about? Not a 4-card setup?) I take it you already have a 3850 since you're considering getting another one in CF, right? Anyways, even a 4850 (dirt cheap) would offer significantly better performance than 3850s in CF. Unless you can get a 3850 for really cheap, I don't think it's be worth it - if you can get one for really cheap and you have a crossfire mobo, then it might be a viable upgrade option, but I'm for getting a new higher-end card.

ok cool, thanks.

I actually meant the 3870 card... not the 3850!

But prolly the same as you said...oh and yes i was meaning 2-way CF.

No I dont have worthy card yet, just been considering all the possible options for the best performance i can get for my $350 budget.

Although I am really stuck on this Radeon HD 4870 512MB DDR5 card. Sounds great for the price!

Great

Thanks so much you asked and answered my exact query. I wasnt sure if it was worth doing the second 3850 or just upgrading to a 4850 or 4870 now I know.
