Proplem with Task Manager

hey, please i need help
i work on windows xp pro
and i have proplem with task manager
When I load Task manager as soon as it loads is goes off in a flash
and i notice that there is thing runing under "task" tab named "x"
i dont know it

please help me what should i do ??

I would boot into safe mode (Press F8 before windows loads), run a scan by ad-aware and norton anti-virus (or similar), and if it's spyware hopefully that gets rid of it.

But if this is some kind of program that someone put on to preven you from viewing the task manager, such as a parental control system, then i dont know of an easy way around that.
