Protection

A new computer CPU) runs fast until you start loading the registry with a whole lotta duties. So, what is the bare minimum protection for the internet? Is there a way to just load the Malware/Avast software to a flash drive and have a computer boot up thru the flash drive when it is installed instead of the hard drive?

As long as you have a decent computer, Avast and Malwarebytes won't slow it down. And it wouldn't make sense to install it to a flash drive.

Thank you Johnb35

I hear the term Bloatware and see how much is going on in the background and figured that if I actually did have a problem without protection, I could boot from a thumbdrive and run malware and avast to resolve the issues.

On passmark without protection my system rates at 1579, but while running protection it rates around 1200 or just shy of that. (the CPU rates 3,500)

I will worry about bigger things and let passmark worry about the numbers game..

Thank you again!
