PS/2 to USB

OK I have a PS/2 keyboard and mouse (all in one) and I would like to convert it over to USB, does anyone know if this is possible to do, if so do you have a wiring diagram? Now I know you can buy adapters to do this, but I would really like to see if I can do it first

I have installed a USB 2.0 PCI card and now my computer won't shut down. When I click the shut down button my computer starts the sequence but it just restarts... What can I do?

Wow thats pretty cheap :) Is there anyway I can say........cut the PS/2 end off and put a USB end on, or is that a no no?

No that won't work. It's a totally different intererface.

Keyboards and mice that are made to work with both are actually MADE to work with both. It's not just a matter of converting the plug.

if you have ps/2 device and you want to convert them to USB, then then adapter Trizoy said is what you want. All it would do is make the cable a few inches longer
