Can i play my Playstation 2 on my computer? If possible then how can you play?I have a Hp media center pc m7167c. Thanks Matt

not likely, I think when ps2 first came out, some sony computers could play the games, dunno if that was true as I never tried it out. But realistically your best option would be an emulator, though it's hard to find ones that aren't buggy, and again I have never used one. I dunno if the emulators run off the disks or if they run downloaded files or what though

Are emulators not against the law? thats what i was told somewhere? Its sort of like editing your xbox. ITS NOT ALLOWED.

I dunno, I had a post locked yesterday so if it is then I didn't say anything earlier, don't really wanna push my luck

Emulators are legal, it's getting the ROMs that's not legal. But if you have a legit copy of the DVD, it's fine... Even so, I don't think any computer is powreful enough to play such an emulator even if one's out... I've tried some 3D arcade games from around 1996 that'd barely run... People just don't understand how difficult it is on a computer to emulate another computer

Especially one that's specifically designed for one type of code that's completely different from the other...

Possible to play PS2 on PC under the circumstances of:

  1. rendering lags
  2. slow operation (keyboard inputs, joypads, etc.)
  3. for most, if not all emulators, only certain games work.
  4. you MUST have the original untampered game
  5. sound quality can be grainy
  6. you can't download PS2 ROMS anyway, it must be played with the original PS2 disc.
