PS3 Blu Ray

I have a 50" DLP (1080p) which the games look great on. But for some reason... the Blu Ray DVDs look like ass. I can't figure out why!

I just bought 300 on Blu Ray and even that looks pretty bad. ITS VERY CLEAR but there is a lot of "Snow" type color flickering going on.

On regular HD Cable I do not see any of this. Its ALMOST as clear but without that annoying little flickering. I don't even know how to describe it.

I tried messing with the settings but I have no idea what most of the crap means.

Have you watched any other Blu-Ray movies on the PS3 without problems? I've been hearing alot of complaints with just the movie "300" playing incorrectly on the PS3. Some people say they have the same effect as you or "tearing" of the picture. I would suggest adjusting your video settings on the PS3 and/or TV and then try reseating the cables again just to be sure.

It could be the movie play back on "300." Have you adjusted any settings or anything??

What does that mean?

Which settings do I adjust? There isn't much to mess with?

Underworld Evolution looks quite badass. It has some of that little flickering nonsense going but MUCH MUCH less.

You need to try some other movies. 300 is inherently grainy do to the fact it was shot with 35mm film. this was the choice of the director to make an more graphic novel feel. You can read all about it at the blu-ray forums.

Good movies that willl show off how good Blu-ray is are titles like Pirates of the Carribean (both), Deja Vu, and the remastered Fifth Element.
