PS3 ...Resolution?

I just got a PS3 and my TV will display the resoltuion based on input. I noticed for blue ray I get the 1920×1080 but when I load up Uncharted Drake's Fortune (the only game I have right now) it drops to 1280×720 I thought Ps3 games were 1080p am I missing something or a setting?

Actually many games for the PS3 aren't 1080p, instead they're 720p. If you look on the back of the box it'll tell you which standard it is.
