I'm not sure if you should wait for it, if your into console gaming, I guess so... I'm trying to stay away from console gaming now.. Their a waste of money, computer gaming is the way.
I absolutely agree, and if ya want to buy a console definetly wait for the next generation consoles, cause they will be a lot more powerful and I have read some things for some really cool games that they planning for the next gen. consoles. However, you will need to put price into consideration aswell as what you will be using it for. If you plan on using it for online play, wait for the next gen. consoles because when the new one's come out people are gunna jump to get online play at the new and improved levels. However, if price is a factor and you just want to use your console for single player or lan or just playing some ncaa 2005 with your friends get ps2 cause the only difference your going to see is that graphics are better on ps3...however the choice is all yours
If you can't wait (until the end of this year or 2006) just buy PS2, the price is getting cheaper and there are already a lot of games in various genre (you can also get a lot of cheap games on sale.. ). I will definitely buy PS3 when they are out, but at least wait until the price drop a little bit...
I'm a gamer and I play both console and PC. But I prefer my PS2 because in PC, game developer is "crazy" with the spec requirements, they're getting more and more demanding, which requires me to buy expensive VGA cards. I just can't keep up with them...
While for my 3 year-old PS2, it's always soothing to know that i can play 100% every game that i bought without having all the fuss in installing, checking the requirements and all that stuff... just pure plug and play...
