i got a brand new 500 watta nmedia power supply and it wont fit, i cant install my new 850 pro without isntalling the 500watt in place of my 300 watt

1. how do i get this thing to fit, the case is like a 3 year old cicero case(very cheap)

2. for the time being. can i just put it on to of the case and run the power throught the back?

1) How won't it fit? I can't help if you don't explain... Power supplies are typically a standard size unless you have some small case. Though, for some odd reason, mine didn't quite fit in my recent build. The holes didn't quite line up so it took a bit of coaxing to make it fit(and only 3 screws...)

2) Technically, that should be fine. The power supply is suppose to ground itself on the case, but I have run system's with the PSU litterly hanging inside the case.

its like 1mm to tall, it wont slide in its rails

atm my comp is on its side so i dont need to screw in the psu

This is why I don't buy very cheap cases. Tolerances. Just force it in there, its what I did when I used to have a $10 tin-can box 8D

ya ill look through all the cases in my price range and get back to you guys asking for your opinions, thanks
