My setup:

Gigabyte titan 4 series/mobo
Intel P4 3.00(mhz or ghz just the normal size)/CPU
Radeon 9250/ Graphics
Kingston 1 512/RAM
PowMax 400w/PSU
Maxtor 60 G/HDD

I had jus installed windows XP professional on my new HDD. My HDD was not in its slot and just laying in the bottom of the case. I was in hurry and tried to move my HDD to its slot without turning off the power. On the delivery to the slot...my HDD bumped into something. The power shut off. I thought it might have been the PSU ATX so i pushed that in and it turned on then off. I then pushed on a random spot on my mobo and it turned on then off quickly. I tried it again but nothing happened. I unplugged the cord to the PSU then plugged it back in. I tried the switch but nothing happened! I unplugged everything connected to the PSU in my case then connected them properly in their correct spots. Still no power. NO fans, no noises, no power. NOTHING

DId i fry my mobo or anything? Is it a PSU failure? What the hell is it? PLZ any information will help! TY

im retarded

sounds like you fried your motherboard, or possibly blew out your powersupply and your harddrive, they arent hot swapable

1. You can bump your HDD all you want while its on... it shouldnt cause the mobo to frag itself (it will however, cause the HDD to frag itself)

2. Try running your box in barebones mode i.e., mobo+cpu+video+ram+power+keyboard+monitor (and thats it).
