I am buying this PSU to power my P4 3.2ghz with a 6600 gt so i can play bf2.
I know it has a 24-pin connector which is what i need and it has +12V@34A from which I have heard is good.

PSU:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817182003

But what i dont know is if it can last me hours playing bf2 and if it has a power cord that can connect into the part of my mobo that powers my pci-express. The yellow and black cord. And wat i dont understand is why their is a fan on the top if that is goin to be covered by the top of my computer case?

thats wat i said but look, count, link to pic below
pic

the last 4 on that connector "detach" from the main connector. i have a PSU like that. it's not a TRUE 24-pin power connector, as the extra 4 don't run off the same rail (i think thats the lingo :) )

o but will it still work with the 24-pin on my mobo? it doesnt look like they disconnect in the pic

see the small little clip on the top right of the connector? that will detach the last 4 power pins.

i don't know if it will work with a 24-pin mobo, it looks like it SHOULD. i've only used mine in a 20-pin mobo and it worked jsut fine.

see?

if ur lookin to play bf2 i think ur gunna be severly disappointed with the 6600gt. currently bf2 is the most graphics card-intensive game out there and unless ur intending on playing all low settings ur not lookin at the right card for u.
