PSU Issues

Hi Guys,

i recently upgraded my rig to the spec in my signature, and i have had no end of trouble with psu's.

my original 750W psu kept on triggering the mobo's surge protector so i purchased a Powercool 750W 80+, while waiting for this to arrive i used my flatmates Evo Labs E-700BR and this worked fine, when the Powercool arrived it had the connections for a 450-600W so had to send it back and the supplier couldnt replace it as his entire batch was like that, i have since purchased a CiT 750W Gold but since installing this the rig keeps shutting down as if overheating, i have contacted the supplier and he said it is because the GPU has too high an AMP requirement for that PSU.

any advice/recommendations would be grateful, also my budget is tight so best performance for buck is the key.

Thanks in advance

The supplies you have had are junk. Just having a 7850. Get something in the 650W range. Will still have overhead. Brands Corsair/XFX/PC Power & Cooling/Antec/Seasonic/Silverstone.
