Hey guys and Gals the other day i was switching on my computer and while it was finishing loading Windows the Computer all of a sudden crashed and wouldnt come back on. Ive tried unplugging some unnecaserry fans and such to try and troubleshoot but no luck
I was wondering if my Mobo is fried or my psu has failed
Ive got a Ultra 500 watt Power supply
-Asus k8v SE deluxe Mobo
-AMD Athlon 64 +3200

If u need to know anymore of my specs ill be glad to share

Please help!!

The easiest thing to check is the power supply, take it out and jump start it, if it turns on you know the problem is something else.

Yeah, I agree with cromewell, sounds like a psu issue to me. If you have another computer, you could swap psu's into the non-working computer and see if that will work. By the way, cromewell, what do you mean by jump starting the psu, and how do you do that?

yes it was the PSU i had used my old one with it last night and it worked.

thanks for the help
i just sent in for a new Power supply.
