PSU Still Warm After A Whole Night

Wazzap Pps,

I hav been encountering sum problems. The PSU is still warm after a whole night.
The fans are not spinning. Everything is shut down.


Is there something wrong with the PSU?

Ma PSU is the smartpower 2.0 500W

I would suggest getting it replaced under warrenty before something serious happens, if that doesn't work replace it. Always safe then sorry. If it's just a one of then don't wory to much.
 
Don't forget: when a PSU is plugged in, it is constantly generating at least a 5vdc output for the power switch and the POWER_GOOD signal for the motherboard. If yours is "pretty warm" then something's wrong. A temp just a smidgen above room temp is more like it. And if it smells, then swap it out before it toasts your mobo or other components.
