Hi guys -

Recently (3 weeks ago) purchased a brand new Toshiba Satellite L505 laptop. I did some looking up about it and it's supposed to be a quality laptop for gaming.

Video Card
Minimum: 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT or better or ATI Radeon 1600 XT or better

Sound Card
Minimum: Yes

Free Disk Space
Minimum: 12 GB of free hard drive space

I have:

CPU

CPU Speed
You Have: 2.20 GHz Performance Rated at: 3.74 GHz

RAM
You Have: 3.7 GB

OS

Still, whenever I run the game I lag really bad, not even playable. What's wrong..?

Try Updating the GPU drivers and also check the temperatures while running the game.Use Realtemp for it and post it.

I guess you have a ATI 4200 GPU, or tell us what GPU you have (i.e. go start type dxdiag, press enter and go to display, then copy and paste the Name of the GPU), or go to device management. tell us what it is and how much Memory does it have.

I think it is just that the GPU driver has not been installed.
whats the game you are trying to play??

Yep, looks like you most likely have the ATI Radeon 4200, as Cameldude says. If you post the full model number I can make sure, it should be on the bottom and look something like L505-S####. I'm not sure where you read that this was a gaming laptop, but it's not. It has decent graphics for a laptop, but it's definitely not geared towards gaming.
