I had a computer upgrade a year or so ago and the installation people thought it would be great to install the FREE OpenOffice instead of Microsoft Office. We are now convinced that we should spring for the latter and are wondering what to purchase. There are a lot of configurations: Home and Student, Home and Office, Professional, and God knows what else. I am running PCs (not Mac) in a business, all with Windows 7, and would need to make at least 3 (maybe 4) installations. I am asking for knowledgeable suggestions as to which version to purchase.

I'd contact Microsoft and see about getting a volume license of Home and Business 2010.

Our needs are not all that sophisticated. We do a lot of spreadsheeting; use Word a lot; and have some need for PowerPoint and Publisher. No file sharing or electronic "wows."
