purchasing monitor

id like to get a monitor online (newegg) since they are cheaper in price and appear to be brands of better quality, unfortunately every monitor seems to have reviews plagued with consistent misfortunes. is it worth disregarding the 20-50~ critical responses out of 300-500~, or should i head the warnings and just go buy a monitor in-store?

I bought the monitor in my sig from newegg w/ no problems, no dead pixels, no shipping errors and love every minute of it. It all depends on how comfortable you are with spending the kind of money you are going to spend on whatever monitor you want and how much of hurry you are to get it.

Yeah, the chimei came with a $40 MIR and Free s/h at the time so it persuaded me a little more than the viewsonic or the samsung. The newegg NJ warehouse isn't that far away from you so it should take it only a day to get to you. Its pretty hard for UPS to screw up real bad in a day

newegg is plagued by consumers who buy their products unwisely, or don't pay attention to what they really need. (In other words, people who aren't computer savvy, and have no idea of what they're doing) Then when they get the right product, they blame newegg. Sad One time, when i asked this guy who posted a bad review about a bad ATI graphics card he bought, I asked him why he didnt get the cheaper Ge - Force instead His reply: "Wth is that??? >=(" lol....

About shipping.. *hopefully* it would ship from the NJ warehouse. Unfortunately, when I bought all my computer components for my buildin April, they shipped from California Warehouse... I live in Mass.
