I purchased an Intel 350, 80GB SSD today. I want to install it tonight. But while I was at BB today, they also had a 750GB Intel Hybrid. I have watched the Youtube comparisons between a standard HDD and an SSD and feel I would be satisfied with the "pure" SSD, but before I install it I would like to know if anyone here has actually installed and used a Hybrid and how it compares to a standard HDD and a SSD. The claim on the box is you get the speed of an SSD. I dont believe it.

You don't get complete SSD speed with a hybrid drive, but you get quicker performance than a standard HDD.

the hybrid drives learn over time...and get quicker...but as said will not beat a ssd, but can be a good alternative where you need space and speed
